Caffe Buon Gusto

Situated one of the main shopping drags in Brooklyn Heights, this attractive, high-ceilinged dining room is decorated in beige and sage and has appealing sidewalk seating in front. A bottle of Pellegrino sits on each table and walls are dotted with blown-up photos of nature and street scenes. This place is great for a salad fix, such as C`sar salad with grilled chicken, or a spring-like toss of romaine, tomatoes, arugula and endive. You can mix and match pastas and sauces (like at its Manhattan branches), and there are also basics such as eggplant parmigiana and chicken marsala/francese/pizzaiola. With culinary talents focused on Italian, this is an upscale facility. Eager to please, the Caffe Buon Gusto’s kitchen uses high-quality ingredients for its mix-and-match philosophy.

Patrons can choose their meats, their pastas, and their sauces to create their own dishes. One thing you can count on, no matter the combination is a delicious full-bodied flavored dish.

“I love Caffe Buon Gusto! I have been to the Upper East Side location once before and was thrilled to see this restaurant in my new Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. This past weekend it was such a gorgeous Saturday, and I was able to have a lovely meal outside on the front walkway with three friends. The staff was so nice, they moved around a few tables just to accommodate us for a late lunch at 3pm.

The menu offers a nice variety of homemade pastas and authentic Italian dishes, as well as some awesome appetizers, such as the Pan Seared Shrimp and Scallops which are to die for!

I think this will be my go-to restaurant in the neighborhood for a good, consistent meal and a nice glass of wine…for a date or just a night out with friends.” -yelp.com
